Springfield Golf & Country Club
Situated on 157 acres of rolling and wooded land in Fairfax County, Springfield Golf and Country Club is a family-oriented club featuring one of Northern Virginia’s finest-conditioned golf courses, year-round tennis, a 25-meter pool, a new 42,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and a wide variety of social activities.
It's a place to spend time with your family and friends and a great venue to entertain clients. The Club is an active participant in community affairs, and is the home of the nationally recognized Bobby Bowers Memorial, an annual junior golf tournament that awards golf scholarships to boys and girls.
The newer clubhouse, built in 2001, includes a Members’ Grill and Formal Dining Room, each with a fireplace, and a separate bar and lounge area. The top floor includes the formal Grand Ballroom with spectacular views of the golf course. Private luncheons, dinners and receptions are welcome.
GOLF
The Club’s pride is a scenic 18-hole, par 71, 6,498 yard championship golf course. A total package of golfing activities includes unlimited tee times for Active Members, and competitive events for men, women and juniors. We also have a very active couples program, a retiree’s league and regular member-guest tournaments. The Club also offers a wide variety of programming for our junior members, including tournaments, clinics and private lessons. PGA professionals and staff offer lessons and maintain a Pro Shop featuring the latest in golf equipment and merchandise.
TENNIS
The new indoor Tennis & Fitness Center opened in November. and Club members can participate in a variety of tennis & fitness programs. The air-conditioned, year-round, three-court tennis center highlights an active tennis program featuring programming for men, women, mixed doubles and juniors. The USPTA and PTR certified professional staff offer lessons, clinics, round robins and social events, as well as maintain an up to date Tennis Pro Shop. The seven Laykold courts (3 indoor, 4 outdoor) are lighted for evening play as are the the two new outdoor Har-Tru courts.
FITNESS
The new fitness center provides state of the art cardio and workout equipment and the professional staff offers a variety of classes and activities in our brand new fitness studio. Our new center includes a fantastic children's playroom which is available for child minding services while the members are playing tennis or working out. Our new men's and women's locker rooms have both steam showers and saunas, and in addition, we now offer massage therapy by appointment.
SWIMMING
The Club’s swimming facility is centered on a six-lane 25-meter Z-shaped pool with a one-meter diving board and a separate baby pool. The pool house has a full service food and beverage facility and a covered eating area. A junior swim team, water aerobics classes and swim lessons are regularly available.
SOCIAL
Social life abounds at Springfield Golf and Country Club. Numerous events and activities are scheduled for members throughout the year including, dinners, special entertainment events, banquets and outings. Frequently, adult events are paired with a separate children’s event so parents can enjoy themselves while the children are busy in another part of the clubhouse. A calendar of upcoming events is available each month in Club Life, the Club’s official publication.
